When I graduated college, instead of pursuing a career in writing fiction, I went the polar opposite and began working for one of the Big Four accounting firms as a staff auditor. You can't get creative with accounting. If you do, you get subpoenaed. So whenever I get the chance, in the lack of a life I have outside of work, I am working on my forthcoming, New York Times best-selling novel, tentatively titled Ginger Smoke.
Ginger Smoke is actually the name of the protagonist's 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Here's a little bit about my forthcoming novel of the same name:
The One-liner: Ginger Smoke is the story of two struggling alcoholics, a graphic novelist handicapped by a memory disorder (DEREK FINCHER) and a cagey utility man with a secret (JERRY CASSIDY), that have to conceive their own support group to remediate their broken lives.
The "Pitch": If Fight Club and Memento had a baby, and it was raised by alcoholics, it would grow up to be Ginger Smoke.
